This Italian grape is famous in the Piedmont region and is the 5th most planted red grape in all of Italy. It was first documented in the 13th century. Ours has a black cherry color with aromas and flavors of ripe cherry, vanilla and a little fresh cut oak. It is a dry wine with a smooth yet tart and very long finish.
