Soft or Tart? Why not try both!
This Italian varietal is from the most north easterly region in Friuli-Venezia-Giulia. This semi-acidic variety displays varying aromas based on a simple process known as malolactic fermentation (MLF). The "soft" version has completed a MLF, resulting in a fuller and creamier wine with butter, almond and lemon aromas and flavors. The "tart" version has not completed a MLF. The result is a crisper and brighter wine with green apple, persimmon and apricot.
