This French varietal was developed in the 1860s as a cross of Syrah and the rare Peloursin grape. Ours is dark purple-red with rich blackberry and raspberry aromas as well as some toasted oak and vanilla.

Ours is dark purple-red with rich blackberry and raspberry aromas as well as some toasted oak and vanilla. The flavors are reminiscent to the nose with lots of dark berry fruit. Dry with bold tannins. Good pairing with steak.
